Our Rivet Chino project in Stitchwork Sashiko has been one of our best performing preorders to date! By popular request, we're now offering this incredible cloth in our Kamigata Noragi jacket as well.
These pieces work brilliantly as a matched suit. These color dyes (Gunmetal, Navy, and Olive) will be done as a batch, so both the Kamigatas and Rivet Chinos will be a perfect match.
Woven in Japan, our "Stitchwork Sashiko" is a masterpiece of texture and comfort. This 13oz cloth consists of two ply woven cotton with a mixture of both lateral pickstitching and cross-cross "X" stitches from side to side.
The effect is complex and brilliant. Whether natural or dyed, the interplay of texture and stitching details is incredible.
This is a great cloth for the Kamigata. It's incredibly soft from the very first wear. The stitching is fully enclosed in the weave and the Japanese cotton has a smooth surface and a breathable finish. It's an ideal weight for year-round wear.
Each jacket is fully preshrunk and easily machine washable.

The Kamigata is our take on the traditional Japanese farmer's jacket. In keeping with its inspiration, it has a banded shawl placket and a square bottom. We've added additional functionality with hip besom pockets, plain cuffs, and a hidden interior button that allows you to close the jacket in front. You can wear it with the sleeves down or rolled up. Button the jacket to wear it like a cardigan or leave it open.
