Fairfax Easy Fit Chinos Field Olive Drab Bedford Cord

The Fairfax is a modern loose chino that's seen through the Epaulet lens. It's comfortable and relaxed, but still flattering and nicely tailored. It's equally appropriate for a t-shirt and sneakers as it is for a sportcoat and shoes. 

Bedford cord is traditional corduroy’s tougher, more low-profile cousin. It achieves its ridged texture through a specialized weaving process. This creates longitudinal ribs that run parallel to the warp, providing a cleaner, flatter finish.

As the name implies, it was created in Bedford, England for heavy duty workwear and equestrian clothing. It’s a fabric that was built to take a beating, which is why it became a favorite for vintage military gear like the famous U.S. Navy deck jackets.

This particular version is something really special. We sourced it from Brisbane Moss in the UK, but it’s not one of their standard stock colors. Based on an original military tone, it sits in between olive and grey, making it a perfect neutral piece. It matches just as easily as khaki, but the color and texture is entirely distinct. 

At 13oz, this cloth has a strong weight, but is still comfortable for most of the year. They’ll break in beautifully and mold to your body over time. They're 100% cotton and fully machine washable. 

If you wear our Rivet Chino or our Walt Trouser, you can expect a slouchy fit like the one on our model. For guys with larger legs, there's ample room in the thigh and seat, and you can expect a closer, but still very comfortable fit.

The Fairfax has a higher rise than the Rivet Chino, some extra room at the waist, and significantly more room in the thigh and seat. If you find many pants to be too slim, then this can work wonders for you. 

Truthfully, this shape should work brilliantly for nearly any physique. You can confidently order your typical Epaulet size. 

The Fairfax has rear button flap pockets that are extended to completely enclose most Iphones and Androids. This way you have easy and secure storage when you're walking around.
