Right in time for the cooler weather, we've assembled this tight collection of Japanese and European fabrics for the Rivet Chino. Here's the rundown...
Japanese Ripcord
Based on classic military uniform cloth, Ripcord has a flat micro-scale ribbed weave that gives it exceptional tensile strength. This imparts a subtle visual texture, and will also yield a unique fade pattern with wear. These are woven in Japan and wearable year-round. Olive and Java tones are available.
Heathered Tech Twill
Woven in Japan, this is a blend of pima cotton and viscose - which is derived from natural wood fibers. The overall drape and vibe is similar to wool flannel, but this technical fabric blend is fully machine washable. It's composed of a mix of lighter and darker yarns that give it a complex heather grey tone.
Heavyweight Tiger Twill
Weighing in at a sturdy 16oz and woven in Japan, this is one of the most dense and exceptional fabrics that we've ever offered in the Rivet Chino. It's a tri-color blend of indigo, black, and natural yarns... all mixed together in an intricate "tiger" blend. With a weight that exceeds most jeans, this is a perfect choice for an incredible cold weather pant.
Howitzer Washed Khaki Twill
We begin with a gorgeous 10oz white cotton twill from Brisbane Moss in the UK. This base cloth was reactive dyed to a perfect light khaki tan and then enzyme washed twice. The resulting fabric is beautifully softened and broken in. It's also entirely pre-shrunk and machine washable.
Pine 9oz Twill
Woven in Italy, this whisper soft pure cotton twill is a unique shade of forest green with a subtle navy cast. It's a great pop of color underneather a navy, grey, or tan jacket.
Dark Ash 9oz Oxford Cloth
Woven by Cappio mills in Italy, this heavyweight cotton oxford is a great option for cooler weather. Weighing in at 9oz, it has a soft hand and a beefy pique texture. The yarns are a mix of medium and dark grey tones, yielding a gorgeous melange effect.
Navy Cramerton 8oz Twill
First manufactured in 1929 for the US Army by Cramerton Mills in North Carolina, this hard-wearing cloth became the standard uniform fabric for the American forces fighting abroad in WWII. The fabric is 100% cotton and a year-round 9oz weight. It softens and fades beautifully with age.
Jet Black Stretch Twill
This blend of 98% cotton and 2% lycra is woven in Japan. We rarely offer Rivet Chinos in black, so this is a great opportunity to get a pair! The hand on this is soft, and the subtle degree of stretch is exceptionally comfortable.
