The Wilhelm is our WWII field trouser. With extra room in both the thighs and the seat, it's an ideal fit for clients with muscular legs. The Wilhelm's cut offers a tailored fit on those with bigger thighs or a flattering relaxed fit for those with slimmer legs.

The stock inseam length of this chino is 35". We can hem them shorter for a $15 upcharge. Please note that hemmed chinos are final sale and will require an additional few days for fulfillment.

This was the first time that I had ever heard the phrase "Cramerton Cloth." Hertling Trousers received about 500 yards of a stiff American-made cotton twill in a rich British khaki cast. They were doing a production run for Orvis, and we made some for ourselves.

These were some of the best cotton trousers that we've ever made. Although khaki pants are a dime a dozen, these stood out. They had a crisp hand and would hold a crease. The fabric had a tight weave and a heft that seemed heavier than its year-round weight. It washed easily and aged beautifully. It's the kind of thing that every guy can own and enjoy. 

Since those days, I'm perpetually on the lookout for something that can deliver that same look and feel. I purchased a deadstock roll of Cramerton Twill that offers these "OG" characteristics. It's thick, durable, comfortable, and a perfect shade of British Khaki. It washes beautifully and keeps its crease. It delivers the same excellence as those 2010-era Hertling trousers!

Inspired by the soft construction of military uniform trousers, the Wilhelm has an unlined, folded-over waistband. This gives it a comfortable, contoured fit and a cool vintage look. Its other features include a button-through closure, metal zip fly, double besom coin pocket, and rear welt pockets. The inseams are unfinished at 35".
